Artificial Intelligence

  • AI has changed everything, but I don’t want to make it the end-all be-all element to legal document completion because it is not.  It is definitely here however.
  • As Legal Professionals we have the ability to use AI, but we concurrently have a duty to make sure that what our systems are producing fit within the limits of accuracy within which we have always been required to produce work product.
  • My best recommendation is to use AI to save yourself time and if you allow a client to use AI, let them know what way the AI is being implemented and also make sure to give them an option to not use it and/or edit what it produces.
  • We are working on a little Replit API that we are making with Replit that will allow somebody making a contact form to run an entry of a user filling out the form through an LLM that has some preset Knowledge Base that also filters through the LLM and runs locally with a separate section that partitions any personal data in order to maintain HIPAA Compliance.  It is in the works and is showing promise.
  • For now though, DocupletionForms is an Expert Document/Law System and runs on predetermined and encoded conditional logic and not the required to be limited and bound LLM options in the AI sphere.
  • Another way to use AI is to use some form of chatbot like ChatGPT to paste large swaths of text from how-to manuals and/or action guides into in order to ask the LLM what questions need to be asked of a client and what way do they need to be phrased in order for a professional to know what documents to complete for a client.
  • The questions still need to be phrased along with help text so that the person’s answers represent their informed decision making and not a blind entry that then causes the selection of a document and entry of a particular permutation of data and/or checkboxes.
  • Our contact form can easily be connected to different AI via Zapier and then the result can be zapped into different programs.
  • We have a Zapier AI Agent integration to our API aimed at putting information into a blank in the Data-Merge as well.
